The desire for a cosmetic surgery facelift procedure can stem from many reasons, including excessive wrinkles, sagging skin, and droopy eyebrows. Facelift surgery, often referred to as rhytidectomy is specifically meant to repair sagging or drooping skin and eradicate other signs common to aging, such as unsightly age spots or crow’s feet. The surgery is typically performed by removing and repositioning the skin on the patient’s face in order to pull it tighter, which gives the appearance of a younger look. Individuals can also choose to have a 3 day facelift, which is a similar procedure that costs significantly less and provides patients with comparable results. Additionally, there is minimal to no recovery involved with a 3 day facelift. The two ways in which a 3 day facelift can be performed on patients include either surgically or nutritionally. The cosmetic surgery lasts for a few hours and can produce dramatic results, just not to the degree of a full face lift. The cost is significantly lower in comparison to other types of cosmetic procedures and patients can resume their daily activities after only a few days. A 3 day facelift diet is what makes up the nutritional aspect of this procedure. The diet mainly involves the consumption of grilled salmon two times a day with the inclusion of other types of healthy foods during meal and snack time.
Additional face lift procedures that many people opt for include eyelid and brow lift surgery. Unlike a full facelift surgery, these procedures focus on improving certain areas on the face. Both are meant to alter the appearance of an individual’s face in an effort to make them look less tired and more refreshed. Some of the risks associated with both procedures include infection, swelling, eye irritation, scarring and hematoma.
Factors Affecting Cost
Whether individuals wish to obtain a brow lift, facelift, blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, it is important for them to understand what overall costs will include. Typical face lift procedures can run anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the type of cosmetic surgery being performed, as well as the following expenses; 1) surgeon’s fees, 2) hospital room fees, 3) anesthesiologist costs, 4) prescription medications, and 5) aftercare materials i.e. bandages, garments.
Because health insurance companies do not cover cosmetic procedures, patients must take care of these fees on their own. Some may venture out to other countries and seek treatment in an effort to save money. However, when travel expenses are added to the price for surgery, the overall cost often adds up to the same amount. Fortunately, patients can receive financial assistance by applying for medical loans, which can be used towards financing cosmetic procedures. In some cases, hospitals, clinics and surgeons can also work with patients to set up a payment plan for easier financing.
